Wednesday Quilting Class

If you’re interested in learning how to quilt or need some help finishing up a quilt, come join us on Wednesday all

day or for a half day. You must pre- register and let Mona know what you will be working on that

 day in class. There

is a three person minimum so bring a friend.

Pfaff Creative Vision Intro Classes

1 All-Day Class $100

Learn how to use your new machine with the new updates. This class is free if you purchased your Creative Vision at Silver Thimble

within the last year.

Crazy Eight Strip Table Topper

All Day Class $30                   $10.99 pattern

A unique table topper made from strips. It is 44” X 44” and would make an original table topper.

It uses 8 different fabrics and a 12 ½ ruler. See the sample and supply list at the store.

Spicy Spiral Table Runner

All-Day Class- $30 Plus Pattern and Supplies

Ready for something completely different and unique? This project will spice up the conversation at your table. This table runner uses

different color ranges and  values from dark to light using eight fat quarters and a 9 or 10 degree wedge ruler. Come in

 and see the sample and get the supply

 list for class.

  Machine Quilting

             ½ day class - $39 (includes kit.)

Learn how to set up your machine for this technique. You will need to be able to lower your feed dogs or cover them. We will also

cover measuring borders  as well as binding techniques. See the sample and supply list at the store.

ZigZag Roundabout Table Topper

All- Day Class $30                  Pattern $9

This is a Thimbleberries table topper pattern that can use Christmas or any seasonal fabric. It can also be made into a tree skirt if desired.

 Silver Thimble has the Christmas fabric that goes with this pattern, so color choices are easy. Come in and see the sample and supply list at the store.

Serenity Shoulder Bag

All- Day Class $30                              Pattern $9

This classy shoulder bag features a stylish front flap closure, perfect for showcasing a unique fabric. Add interest by using fabric texturized by Texture Magic from Superior Threads. This bag has inside and outside slip pockets, a roomy interior, and a comfortable padded shoulder strap.

KIDS’ QUILT CAMP 1

4 classes - $50 plus supplies

Come have fun making a tied quilt. This is an easy beginner’s project. Campers can pick fun fabric to make the quilt. You must be 10 or older and have taken Kids; Sewing Camps 1 and 2. to qualify for this class. Stop by the store to see the sample and supply list.

     KIDS’ QUILT CAMP 2

4 classes - $50 plus supplies

You must take Quilt Camp 1 before taking this camp. We will be making a fun easy strip pieced pattern. The lap size quilt is 58” X 70”. Only three colors are needed. See sample at store and

 supply list.

Sewing Machine Obedience Class

1 Class - $25

Learn to use your accessories and operate your sewing machine with ease. Bring your sewing machine, instruction book, accessories, cord, foot control,

 and a pair of scissors. You are eligible for this class free if you purchased your machine from  Silver Thimble within the last year.

Learn to Hand Quilt

Instructor – Linda Heitman

All Day – Class $35 includes kit

Handquilted quilts are a treasure to be enjoyed for many generations. Don’t let the intricate designs intimidate you. If you can hold a

 needle, you can hand quilt! There will be lots of “Show and Tell” as well as plenty of accessories to play with! This is an all day class and projects

will be provided for you. Please wait to purchase the thimble and hoop until class or if you already have one, please bring it!

Feel free to bring any current projects to add to the fun! Bring a sack lunch if you wish.

Serger Class

1 class - $30

Need help with your serger? We’ll help with stitches,

tensions, and decorative threads. All materials are provided. Bring you serger threaded up,

 accessories, instruction book, cord, foot control, and scissors. If your serger was

purchased from Silver Thimble in the last year, the class in free.   

Mon. Sept. 13, --- 9a.m to 12p.m.

 Serger Cover Hem Class

1 class - $30

Learn how to do cover hem on your serger that does cover hem. Plus lots of other ideas. Bring your serger, all accessories, four spools of thread,

 and a pair of scissors. You are eligible for this class free if you purchased your

cover hem serger from Silver Thimble in the last year.

        QBOT & Quilt Artist Club Class

   1 class - $20

Discover how easy it is to use your QBOT or Quilt Artist.     This class will teach you to get

your QBOT or Quilt Artist  busy quilting for you.

                     Beginning Sewing Class

                       3 Classes - $15 per session

We are offering a beginning sewing class for anyone interested in learning the basics of

sewing with a  pattern.

You may choose what you would like to make; a pair of

lounge pants or shorts. At the first class, you will learn how

to lay out and fit a pattern as well as sewing the garment.

Sign up and get your supplies ahead of time so you will be ready to start your project. If you do not have a

sewing machine you may rent one for the class. Come in and check

it out. After the first project we will offer more classes of

what you would like to learn to make.

                   European Linen Cutwork Doily

                             All- Day Class $30

Create this lovely cutwork piece with your embroidery

machine (need a 120 X 240 or larger hoop.) Software

required is Jenny Haskins Antique Cutwork Tablecloth OR Simon’s folly Quilt CD. Stop at the store to

check out the samples.

-our kids’ camps fill up fast so please register as soon as possible.

We have machines available for rent for the Kids’ Sewing Camps – inquire about rental rates. Just let us know when you register so have a machine

 ready for you when you come. Class size is limited for all our Camps so register early to get in the week that best suits your schedule.

Kids Sewing Camp one: 4 classes - $40 plus project supplies

Do you have an 8-16 year old who wants to learn to sew but you don’t have the patience or skills to teach them? Sign them up for this camp where

 they will have fun learning the basics of sewing while making a fleece pillow, pillowcase and tote bag. We welcome boys as well as girls.   

Mon. – Thurs. July 26- 29                        --- 12:30-3p.m.

Kids  Sewing Camp Two: 4 classes - $40 plus project supplies

This camp is open to anyone 10 and older who took Kids Sewing Camp 1 last summer. Come refresh your sewing skills as you make lounge pants and

a backpack bag. Rental machines are available for use in class. Stop by the store to se the samples and pick up a supply list.

Mon. – Thurs. July 26-29                         --- 9a.m.-12p.m.
